Wool is a natural fibre from a fully renewable resource and consequently the life cycle of Thermafleece has minimal environmental impacts. And whilst it's gives a K-value of 0.039 W/m.K which compares favourably with that of other fibrous insulants, it's pleasant and safe to handle and offers a range of additional benefits that derive from it's nature, particularly from the way in which it interacts with moisture.

In the winter the absorption of moisture by wool insulation can increase peak temperature by up to 4 c when compared to buildings in which alternative forms of insulation are installed.

The 600mm wide batts are commonly used in timber stud walls where the stud spacing is 600mm.

The 400mm wide batts are commonly used in roofs and floors where the joist spacing is 400mm.
